Xiaomi Patents Folded Smartphone Design Similar to Huawei Mate Xs

Xiaomi has recently filed a patent on its folding smartphone design. The patent was found on the CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) database.

Through an outstanding patent design, the shape of the device is very similar to the Huawei Mate Xs. In addition, the device seems to adopt a flexible display.

As seen, the smartphone design carries the concept of folding out with the bezel in the right corner. When folded out, the back and front side display the screen in full, while the rear body has a narrow segment to accommodate the camera module.

The front screen is almost visible without the bezel, while the right side displays the volume rocker and power button, as reported by Gizmochina, Friday (5/6).

Furthermore, the rear body is equipped with four cameras along with a microphone, LED flash, and also a button. This button is expected to release the screen folds from the place. In other words, full screen display can be obtained by pressing just the button.

Unfortunately, it is unknown whether Xiaomi will actually produce such a device. The company hasn't confirmed anything yet. Even so, did not rule out the possibility of a Xiaomi folding smartphone actually released.
