Domain Authority (DA) and Page Authority (PA) Explanation

Domain Authority (DA) and Page Authority (PA) Explanation

Google announced that PageRank is not a benchmark for SEO website rankings. This news shocked all website users, John Muller became the center of attention of SEO masters saying that "We might not update PageRank further".

After the announcement was released SearchEngineLand.com immediately removed the PageRank toolbar. Because PageRank is not used anymore, now the SEO standards are the Domain Authority and Page Authority website. Become the standard for determining a quality blog or website. The higher the value, the better the quality of a website.

DA and PA become alternatives as metrics to determine the quality of a website. For a discussion on what DA and PA are, please refer to the following explanation.

Domain Authority (DA)

Domain Authority is a reference made by search engines to rank websites or blogs. The greater the DA ranking, the better it is to compete in the Google search engine. Usually the scale is given from numbers 1 to 100.

There are 3 things that determine the high or low DA score of a website or blog:

1. Domain Age

The older the domain age, the DA rank will increase as well. But make sure your blog always regularly updates quality content. High DA shows that the website is consistent, so Google gives high scores and is easier to get a ranking on the search page.

Note: Don't let your domain get older age but no content is published. In this discussion, you need to update your blog by publishing quality content routinely. I do this every single day, at least one published post.

2. Domain Popularity

The more popular your website can be seen from the number of incoming links that come from quality websites. The most important is the quality of incoming links, not the quantity. The incoming links to your website can be called inbound links or better known as backlinks.

To get backlinks, you have to create quality content, maybe many websites that recommend your website to search engines. Another solution, you can do a guest post to a quality website and have the same topic with your website category.

Note: It seems hard to get more quality backlinks from high DA and PA scores from the website, except we plan more budget to purchase. Better to find another easy way. Like, writing on quora or other site and put our link there.

3. Domain Size

Domain size here is seen from the number of quality content that you have published. The more means the greater the size of the website domain you have. You need to allocate more time for investment in quality content.

From these three things, search engines, especially Google, will determine how much a Domain Authority website score you manage. Domain Authority is one of the many metrics that search engines use to determine how quality a domain is.

Note: Make your own plan to publish articles, is it one per day or more. My suggestion is more article would be better. The reason is much more keywords on every single page then you have a big chances to get visitors.

Page Authority (PA)

Does Page Authority have the same meaning with Domain Authority? The answer is absolutely not. Page Authority is a rating from search engines about how quality a page is. DA checks the entire domain, while the PA only checks the page. A simple example, DA is a house and PA is the room. Both are a unity, usually a lot of DA scores lower than the PA on the website.

If you are looking for an expired domain, you can first check DA and PA scores before buying it or create multiple blogs and wait until you get a high DA and PA.
