China Seeks Knowledge to Space Using Five Hundred Meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) Telescope

Aliens will begin to be hunted by China in September. This was confirmed directly by the chief scientist of Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI), Zhang Tongjie.

The country is looking for other extraterrestrial life this year, using a large Five Hundred Meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) telescope, quoted from the South China Morning Post page, Tuesday, June 2, 2020

FAST is located in Pingtang County, in Guizhou Province, China. The telescope began to be made in 2011, and was completed five years later. Officially, FAST has been operating since January and opened to astronomers around the world.

Quoted from Engadget, FAST has a diameter of 500 meters. However, it can only focus on the 300 meter segment at certain times.

In March, SETI scientists published a study that concluded the results of initial observations with FAST. Including, on how to improve the ability of telescopes to eliminate radio frequency interference on Earth.

In addition, these observations also identify the existence of narrowband ET signals that are likely to originate from other life in space. The FAST Telescope is currently in an upgrade.

Last March, Zhang said he would conduct further checks to see which signals came from extraterrestrials.

Zhang made sure, the search for other life outside Earth would not interfere with normal scientific research using FAST. For example, finding pulsars or interstellar signals that would indicate the beginning of the formation of the universe.

However, if there is an alien radio signal or close enough to Earth to be captured, FAST's work will increase the likelihood of being able to hear it
